According to the DPW weather station, the highest temperature reached in Hopkinton Mar 30th-Apr5th was 57.2 degrees, the lowest was 26.5 degrees. Average temperature during the week in Hopkinton was 41.8 degrees. Humidity was at an average of 81%, the peak was 96% while the lowest was 39%. Rain accumulated 1.31 inches last week. Middlesex Sheriff’s Office COVID-19 Response – Update #18

BILLERICA, Mass. - The Middlesex Sheriff’s Office today announced one incarcerated individual has tested positive for COVID-19. The results were returned this morning.

The individual, who was tested yesterday and already in the Health Services Unit (HSU), will remain there in medical isolation. Today’s case brings the total number of incarcerated individuals who have tested positive at the Middlesex Jail & House of Correction to seven.

●The Select Board declared a State of Emergency in the Town of Hopkinton. (5-0)

●The Select Board accepted the Human Resources Director’s screening report and appointed Joseph
Bennett to the position of Police Chief, subject to successful contract negotiations; and authorized the
Town Manager and town legal team to commence negotiations. (5-0)

● The Select Board approved the Minutes of the 3/12/20 and 3/17/20 meetings. (4-0)
