Video: Legacy Cultural Club Celebrates Diwali

The Legacy Farms Cultural Club Celebrated Diwali at Keefe Tech in Framingham this past weekend. The event featured music, dance, vendors and delicious food. View the festivities in the video below.

"Diwali is the five-day festival of lights, celebrated by millions of Hindus, Sikhs and Jains across the world. The festival, which coincides with the Hindu New Year, celebrates new beginnings and the triumph of good over evil and light over darkness."

MEPA Certificate Issued for Main Street Corridor Project Environmental Impact Report (EIR) Not Required

The Town of Hopkinton today announced that Secretary of the Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs Kathleen Theoharides on October 11, 2019 issued a MEPA Certificate for the Main Street Corridor Project and has determined that the project does not require an Environmental Impact Report (EIR).

- 18 and 0 Girls Volleyball has earned the 2nd seed and will play the winner of (7) Shrewsbury and (10) Shepherd Hill on Monday November 4th. The game will take place at Hopkinton High School. (Time TBD)

- 2 and 5 Hillers Football has earned the 7th seed in the South Division 4 Sectionals and will head to 2nd seeded Plymouth South for Friday Night football in the 1st round. Game will kickoff at 7pm.

Lake Maspenock Weed Management and Control Advisory Group Public Hearing Notice: November 18th 2019

The Lake Maspenock Weed Management and Control Advisory Group will hold a public hearing on Monday, November 18, 2019 at 7:00 p.m., at the Hopkinton Library, 13 Main Street, Hopkinton, MA to consider the possibility of applying the herbicides “diquat” and “endothall” in Lake Maspenock in calendar year 2020 in order to control weeds.

All interested parties are invited to attend and comment.

Attendees are requested to park in the overflow parking lot at St. John the Evangelist Parish, 20 Church Street.

Senate Passes Fiscal Year 2019 Closeout Supplemental Budget of $779.8 Million

The Senate proposal boosts Rainy Day Fund by $356M

(Boston) The Massachusetts State Senate passed a $779.8 million closeout supplemental budget for Fiscal Year 2019 today, after adding $8.9 million during floor debate. It also includes a transfer of $356 million to the state’s stabilization fund, thereby continuing to build the Commonwealth’s Rainy Day Fund and placing the state on firmer financial footing. At approximately $3.2 billion, the fund would reach its highest level to date.
