Nine young Ladies between the ages of 14 and 19 years old from Ashland, Hopkinton and surrounding towns participated in this years Ashland Fire Departments "Camp Bailout".

"Camp Bailout is a week long program designed to educate young women on firefighting and emergency service skills, in a dynamic and fun environment. The week long curriculum is interactive and physically challenging, where the girls will gain strength and knowledge while building confidence and leadership skills."

The July Community Pasta Supper at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 61 Wood Street (Rte. 135) will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 31. All are welcome to this event, which is being supported by the churches of the Hopkinton Christian Service Connection. This pasta supper is held for the community on the last Wednesday of every month.

The meal will feature pasta (gluten free available), vegetarian tomato sauce, meatballs on the side, green salad, bread, beverages, and dessert.
The pasta supper is free, although donations will be accepted.

Framingham– On Thursday, July 18, Senate President Karen Spilka (D-Ashland) will attend the I-90 Intermodal Forum to learn more about the state's plan to overhaul a portion of the Massachusetts Turnpike in Allston and its potential impact on the MetroWest region. According to the Massachusetts Department of Transportation, the project will include straightening a portion of Interstate 90 and other changes to accommodate development in Allston/Brighton.

The Hopkinton Community Preservation Committee is now accepting Draft Project Funding Applications for Fiscal Year 2021

Please submit your application no later than Friday August 9, 2019

Projects allowable under the CPA include the creation and preservation of open
space, the preservation of historic sites, the creation and preservation of affordable
housing and the creation and preservation of outdoor recreational facilities.

Wildlife Dr, Pheasant Hill Rd & Partridge Rd are scheduled to be paved on Thursday July 18.
Should it rain work will be done on Friday July 19. Work hours will be approximately 7am-5pm.

One lane of traffic will be open. Please expect delays and seek alternate routes when possible.
