Free Community Meatloaf Dinner at St. Paul’s March 27

The March Community Supper at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 61 Wood Street (Rte. 135) will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 27. All are welcome to this event, which is being supported by the churches of the Hopkinton Christian Service Connection. This month the main course will be meatloaf. This supper is held for the community on the last Wednesday of every month. The community supper is free, although donations will be accepted.

MassBay STEM Students Selected for Sanofi’s Hands-on Experiential Learning Opportunity

FRAMINGHAM, Mass. (March 2019) - MassBay Community College is pleased to announce that eight science major students have been selected to participate in an experiential, lab-based program at Sanofi’s Research and Development Laboratories in Framingham. This is the second consecutive year MassBay students will have the opportunity to learn about the techniques used to make a biologic drug at one of the world’s leading companies in biotechnology. The eight students selected will serve as “science apprentices” during MassBay’s spring break: March 18, 19, and 20, 2019.

Senate President Spilka Hosts Constituents for 82nd Citizens' Legislative Seminar at State House

(Boston, MA) – Senate President Karen E. Spilka (D-Ashland) announced today that she is hosting six constituents at the 82nd Citizens' Legislative Seminar (CLS) at the State House on Tuesday, March 19 and Wednesday, March 20 from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

"The Citizens’ Legislative Seminar is a powerful tool for people to participate firsthand in our democracy” said Senate President Spilka. “This is a great way for residents across MetroWest and the Commonwealth to learn more about how our government operates and make sure residents are actively engaged in the legislative process.”

On Wednesday, the South Sectional Champion, Hopkinton Hillers hockey team took on North Sectional Champion, Lowell Red Raiders at the Tsongas Arena. The 1st period featured nonstop action, Sean Walsh got the 9 goal period started 36 seconds in. At 12:03, Tommy Hamblet netted a goal with an assist by Kyle Rogers. 32 seconds later, Sean Walsh scored his 2nd goal of the period to make it a 3-0 game. Lowell responded with 2 goals of their own within the next 2 and a half minutes.

PJB Shamrock Shindig 2019 Thank You

Project Just Because held their 3rd annual Shamrock Shindig
on Friday, March 8 th at the HCA. A delicious dinner of
traditional St. Patty’s Day fare was provided by local Chef
Chris McFall. There was a terrific performance by Irish step
dancers from the Murphy Academy of Irish Dance. There were
many great auction items. Project Just Because would like to
thank everyone involved for helping to make the event such a
success. We are grateful for the caring support of our

Video: Hillers Hockey Advances to State Semi-Finals

On Sunday March 10th at Gallo Arena in Bourne, the Hopkinton Hillers Boys Hockey team defeated Ashland 6-2 to claim their 1st ever sectional title. Steven Simoes scored a goal with 13 seconds left in the 1st. The Hillers exploded in the 2nd with 5 more goals: (14:10 left) Tommy Hamblet Assisted by Kyle Rogers, (11:55 left) Steven Simoes, (11:06 left) Kyle Rogers assisted by Sean Walsh, (0:29 left) Tommy Hamblet Assisted by Sean Walsh. Tommy Hamblet landed the hat trick with another goal in the 3rd at 12:08 left.

Up to $19.50 per hour upon completion of in-training period.

Work schedule generally is Tuesdays 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM; Wednesdays 9 AM to 4:30 PM and

Fridays 8 AM to 12 Noon. Tuesdays are in Hopkinton and Thursdays are in Medway
