MassBay Community College Offers Winter Intersession Courses

WELLESLEY HILLS, MASS. (December 28, 2018) – MassBay Community College is pleased to announce that registration is open for winter intersession courses. Winter intersession courses are two-week intensive courses offered for credit and non-credit at MassBay. This is a chance for high school students, area college students visiting on winter break and/or enrolled MassBay students to take courses in a short timeframe to help get ahead in their studies, earn college credits quickly, or get a step closer to graduation.

Hopkinton Police Investigate Rollover Crash

The Hopkinton Police Department is actively investigating a motor vehicle crash that occurred on Hayden Rowe Street in the area of Chamberlain Street. At 12:06 p.m. the Hopkinton Public Safety Dispatch Center received multiple reports of a head on rollover crash. Police and Fire responded and found a two car crash with one of the drivers still trapped in the vehicle. Fire rescue personnel extricated a 77 year old Londonderry, New Hampshire women from the vehicle. She was transported to a local hospital with what appear to be non life threatening injuries.

Marjorie I. Wright, 81

Marjorie I. Wright, 81, of Hopkinton, passed away Thursday, December 20, 2018 at Milford Regional Hospital. Born in Somerville, MA, she was the daughter of the late Florence (Savage) and Kenneth Thompson. She was the wife of the late Alfred W. Wright.

The committee currently has a vacancy in the Second Middlesex and Norfolk district for a male candidate. -On Saturday December 15th, Hopkinton Hillers Boys Varsity Hockey hosted their home opener versus Ashland. After a 1-1 1st period, the Hillers netted 3 goals within a minute and a half of each other in the 2nd period. Junior, Sean Walsh netted a hat trick and helped the Hillers to a 5-2 victory over Ashland.

The Hillers improve to 2 and 0 on the season and have outscored their opponents in the first 2 games of the season by a total of 15 to 2.
