Hopkinton Hillers Girls Volleyball Dig Pink Night is Tonight (10/15)!

Tonight the 11 and 2 Hopkinton Hillers Girls Volleyball team takes on the 6 and 4 Algonquin Tomahawks. Tonight's game is "Dig Pink" night and fans are encouraged to wear pink! There will be raffles and items for sale to raise money to help fight cancer. The JV game starts at 5:30 and the Varsity game is scheduled for 6:30pm in the Hopkinton Athletic Center!

**Update: - Hillers improve to 12 and 1 on the season with 3-1 victory over Algonquin.**

James “Ed” McFaul, 93

James “Ed” McFaul, 93, of Hopkinton, passed away Friday, October 12, 2018. Born in Cambridge, he was the son of the late Mary Louise (Rose) McFaul and James Francis McFaul. He was the husband of 37 years to the late Suzanne T. McFaul, who passed in 2003.

Free Pasta Dinner at St. Paul’s October 24

The October Community Pasta Supper at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 61 Wood Street (Rte. 135) will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 24. All are welcome to this event, which is being supported by the churches of the Hopkinton Christian Service Connection. This pasta supper is usually held for the community on the last Wednesday of every month; however in October it was moved up a week because of Halloween.

Robert J. Lavoie, 91

Robert J. Lavoie, 91, died Thursday, October 11, 2018 at home surrounded by his family. He was the devoted husband of the late Jacquelyn (Irving) Lavoie, to whom he married for 53 years. Born October 26, 1926 in Milford, he was the son of Andrew and Mary (Rogers) Lavoie.

-On Wednesday october 10th Hopkinton Hillers girls soccer picked up a big win over previously undefeated Holliston. Gabrielle Weilding was the difference maker, scoring the only goal of the game in the 2nd half. with the goal the Hillers girls are just 3 points away from clinching a playoff spot and improved to 6 wins, 3 losses and 3 ties on the season. Hopkinton girls have won 4 of their last 5 and have not lost a game since back on September 17th.

Video: Live 4 Evan 5K and Fun Oktoberfest

The Live 4 Evan 5K and Fun Oktoberest took place at EMC Park on Saturday October 6th. In addition to the 5K there were games, beverage sampling, live music and a wide array of other activities. The event drew a big turnout and raised funds toward their goal of assisting families with providing a place to stay in Boston while their child is under hospital care.

ESL Theater Wicked 5K Run Sunday October 28th

This 5k fun run is filled with spooky goblins, fairy princesses, and goofy characters cheering you on, offering you water, and entertaining you throughout your 5k run/walk. Participants are encouraged to dress up also. All proceeds go to Enter Stage Left Theater https://hopartscenter.org

Course: The relatively flat course starts and ends at the Hopkinton Center for the Arts (HCA). It goes around Loop Road and includes 2 out and back sections on groomed gravel trails.
