Hopkinton High School Seeks Local Scientists and Engineers for SciFair Workshop
This year over 100 HHS students are participating in our Science and Engineering Fair! Local scientists, researchers, engineers and coders are invited to participate in our Pizza and Projects Workshop on 10/18 from 5:45-7. HWC Raising Cancer Awareness Oct. 15

This month's Hopkinton Women's Club special program features Carly Grant from Mass General Hospital. Ms. Grant is a licensed and certified clinical counselor who works with cancer patients at MGH. Her job there is to talk to patients who have personal and/or family histories of cancer about the chance it could be hereditary. Her purpose is to raise awareness about heredity cancer and education.

It's time to Wake up and Smell the Poetry once again for a new season of poetry, original songs and more at the warm and welcoming studios at HCAM-TV in Hopkinton, Massachusetts. In fact, this is the 13th season of this free program offering of performance and literary arts for community which takes place on the third Saturday morning of each month from October-April.

On Friday (9/28) Hillers football fell to Ashland in a defensive battle 8-7. The Clockers found the end-zone late in 4th quarter and pulled off an epic extra point fake to convert for a 2 point conversion. Ashland improved to 4 and 0 while the Hillers fell to 2 and 2 on the season.

Also on Friday (9/28) Hillers Girls Volleyball earned their 7th sweep of the season versus Holliston. The Hopkinton Hillers take control of the top of the TVL with an overall record of 8 and 1 and league record of 8 and 0.

Weather Trends in Hopkinton: September 22nd-29th 2018

According to the DPW weather station, the highest temperature reached in Hopkinton September 22nd through 29th was 80.5 degrees, the lowest was 43.4 degrees. Average temperature during the month in Hopkinton was 59 degrees. Humidity was at an average of 85.8%, the peak was 98% while the lowest was 48%. Wind Speed averaged 2 MPH, while reaching a high of 11 MPH. Rain accumulated 2.95 inches last week in Hopkinton. The Board of Health and Health Department Sponsoring Flu Clinic next Tuesday and Wednesday at the Senior Center

Hello everyone!

Flu season is upon us and the Hopkinton Health Department has partnered with AFC Urgent Care of Natick and Marlborough to provide two flu vaccination clinics to the residents and employees of Hopkinton. The clinics will run from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the Crafts Room of the Senior Center located at 28 Mayhew Street, on 10/9/18 and 10/10/18.

Middlesex Sheriff’s Office hosts national counterparts for discussion of medication assisted treatment efforts

BILLERICA, Mass. – Officials from Ohio, Virginia and Washington state recently traveled to Massachusetts for a Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA)-sponsored peer exchange to learn about the Middlesex Sheriff’s Office nationally recognized Medication Assisted Treatment And Directed Opioid Recovery (MATADOR) program.
