Video: Planning Board Discusses 147 Lumber Street Plan

At this past weeks planning board meeting in addition to a public hering regarding whisper ridge and 143 spring street, they also continued the public hearing about 147 lumber street. The site developers presented changes to the proposed plan that were made since last meeting.

Free Pasta Dinner at St. Paul’s November 29

The November Community Pasta Supper at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 61 Wood Street (Rte. 135) will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 29. All are welcome to this event, which is being supported by the churches of the Hopkinton Christian Service Connection. This pasta supper is held for the community on the last Wednesday of every month. There will not be a Pasta Supper in December due to the holidays.

HCA to Host New Year’s Eve Party

The Hopkinton Center for the Arts is hosting a New Year’s Eve “pARTy” on Sunday, December 31 from 8 p.m. to 1 p.m. at the HCA, 98 Hayden Rowe Street.
The over-21 evening will feature the music of Hot Acoustics. Cost is $40 and includes food, a champagne toast at midnight, music and dancing. A cash bar will also be available.

TVL Making Championship History!

The championships won by Tri Valley League teams in MIAA tournaments this Fall may be unprecedented in the history of the league, or even in the state. The championships include a state title for Hopkinton golf, sectional titles for Hiller football and girls volleyball, sectional titles for Millis girls soccer and football, cross country sectional titles for Westwood girls cross country and Bellingham boys cross country, and Medway girls soccer plays in the south section finals on Tuesday, Nov. 14.

Senate Votes to Expand Contraceptive Mandate

BOSTON – Today, the Massachusetts Senate voted to enact H.4009, An Act advancing contraceptive coverage and economic security in our state, better known as the ACCESS Bill. In October, the bill was restructured with a compromise between legislators, the Coalition for Choice, and a group of Massachusetts insurance carriers – who now vocally support the legislation.
