An angsty rock musical adaptation of the seminal play about the trials and tribulations of growing up.

It's Germany, 1891, and the grown-ups hold all the cards (kind of like today). The inquisitive Wendla, the fearless Melchior, and the troubled young Moritz, all struggle as they bump up against the constraints of the adult world in which they live.

According to the DPW weather station, the highest temperature reached in Hopkinton July 30th through August 6th was 90.7 degrees, the lowest was 48.5 degrees. Average temperature during the week in Hopkinton was 71.9 degrees. Humidity was at an average of 74.9%, the peak was 98% while the lowest was 30%. Wind Speed averaged 1.3 MPH, while reaching a high of 6 MPH. Precipitation accumulated 0.86 inches last week in Hopkinton. The 4th annual Keep Smilin 4 Abbie foundation Field Hockey event took place Saturday August 5th. Due to questionable weather, the event took place at the "Teamworks" facility on 185 Otis Street in Northborough this year.

This years event featured the classic Hillers Alumni vs Current Field hockey team as well as the community teams and also a few other schools such as Holliston, Tantasqua and Medway joined in on the fun as well.

The 4th annual Keep Smilin 4 Abbie foundation Field Hockey event took place Saturday August 5th. Due to questionable weather, the event took place at the "Teamworks" facility on 185 Otis Street in Northborough this year.

So much to do: Run or Walk; Cornhole Tournament; Challenge Course for Kids grades K - 12. Music, food, it's going to be great. Roadwork is scheduled to begin on the following streets. Work hours will be approximately 7am-5pm unless otherwise noted.

8/7-8/9 – Wood St (from Exchange St to Rocky Woods Rd). Milling.
8/10-8/11 – Hayden Rowe St (from College St to the Milford line). Milling. 9am-3pm.
8/9 – Daniel Rd – Reclaim.

Please expect delays and seek alternate routes when possible.

Charlotte B. (Lane) Fargo, 96

Charlotte B. (Lane) Fargo of Hopkinton, Massachusetts passed away on August 6, 2017, at age 96. She was the wife of the late George A. Fargo, Sr. of Hopkinton and sister of the late Evelyn Read of Holliston, Mass.

Born on September 15, 1920 in Framingham, MA, Charlotte was the daughter of Charles and Mattie (Rowe) Lane, and she graduated from Framingham High School. She married George A. Fargo, Sr., in 1943, and they moved to Hopkinton in 1949, where she lived for the next 68 years.

Keep Smilin 4 Abbie Field Hockey Event Venue Changed Due to Inclement Weather!

Keep Smilin 4 Abbie has announced that Saturday (August 5th) Field Hockey event has changed location due to the likely rainy weather. Please see details below!

"We have decided to move the location for Saturday’s fundraiser due to risk of inclement weather.

The location has been changed to an indoor facility

Please arrive by 12:30 for player registration. Games will begin at 1:00 p.m. The event will end as previously scheduled at 4:00 p.m.
