The HCA hosts First Friday Open Mic

at the Hopkinton Center for the Arts, 98 Hayden Rowe Street, Hopkinton, MA.

Head to the Hopkinton Center for the Arts for the popular open mic night with host and singer-songwrirter Barbara Kessler. Singers, players, songwriters, poets, and storytellers of all ages and the general public are invited to attend. Sign-ups for performers will begin at 7 PM with music starting at 7:30PM.

Educate Hopkinton Traffic & Pedestrian Safety Public Forum Monday Feb 6th!

In the wake of several serious pedestrian accidents and growing concern about traffic, eHop will hold a public forum titled eHop’s Spotlight on Traffic and Pedestrian Safety on Monday, February 6, 7:00 - 8:15 pm at the Hopkinton Center for the Arts, 98 Hayden Rowe Street, Hopkinton (http://ehop01748.org/tag/spotlight-traffic/).

To start the special town meeting, Thomas garabedian opened up his 1st town meeting as town moderator, and welcomed previous Dr. Bruce Karlin to the stage who had some advise for the new Town Moderator. There was also a moment of silence for previous Town Government volunteer and well known personality at Town Meeting, Dr. John Duffy who passed away this past year. Article 2 was then voted to be moved to Day 2 after a motion by the School Committee. Discussion about article 1: Periodic charter review: Report & Recommendations followed.

New Elementary School Building Naming Narrowed to Ten

At their meeting on January 30, 2017, the School Committee narrowed down the elementary school building names submitted by the public to ten (10). The community is invited to participate by indicating their selection through a survey available on the Hopkinton Public Schools homepage. The survey will be open until Friday, February 10, 2017. Copies will also be available at the Library and Senior Center.

-On Tuesday January 24th. Hillers Girls basketball took on Dover-Sherborn with a chance to get their 10th win and officially seal up a playoff spot. The Hillers Girls had no problem accomplishing that mission as they took the game 57-17. In the victory, Senior Mikayla Pucci had 12 points and 8 rebounds while Senior Julia Canestrari dropped 11 points.
