Keefe Tech Students Put Skills To Work For Natick House Building Project

FRAMINGHAM, MA – Keefe Regional Technical School is pleased to announce that juniors and seniors from their Carpentry, Electrical and Plumbing career and technical programs will use their skills to build a duplex home located at 299/301 Bacon Street in Natick, MA, in partnership with Natick Housing Trust and Family Promise of Natick.

Jesse Chambers scored a goal off an assist from Ethan Champlin as the HMS boys’ soccer team fell to defeat yesterday versus Milford. Patrick Crantz played very well in Goal. The boys next play at Millis on Thursday. Friday’s game has been rescheduled until October 19.

The Hopkinton Middle School cross country teams beat Medfield on Medfield’s hilly 2-mile course on September 26. Hopkinton’s girls won, 25-31, and the boys won, 24-31.

Early Voting in Hopkinton Monday October 24th - November 4th

If election day does not work great for you, you may now vote October 24th through November 4th by mail or at town hall. Ninth Annual Haunted Trail Walk

The Woodville Trailbusters 4H Club are hosting their annual Haunted Trail Walk Fundraiser on Friday, October 28 and Saturday, October 29 from 5:30-8:30 PM at 25 Winter Street in Hopkinton. The cost is $3 per child and $5 per adult. There will be popcorn, candied apples, and cider. Admission includes a guided trail walk, a hay ride, and games.

No drop-offs, please. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Tom Ingrassia at the Hopkinton Center for the Arts

On Wednesday, October 5 at 7:00 PM, radio host Tom Ingrassia will speak on his award winning book, "Reflections of a Love Supreme: Motown Through the Eyes of Fans", at the Hopkinton Center for the Arts. Mr. Ingrassia will draw from his wealth of Motown knowledge for this history of original American music you won’t want to miss!

The event is sponsored by the Friends of the Hopkinton Public Library.

Video: Marty's Hosts Grand Opening

Marty's liquor store hosted their grand opening. Some wine and booze samples were available as well as food and entertainment. The store located in the same building as CVS or the former Colella's features a variety of liquors foods and much more. The business has been family owned and operated at their Newton location since 1948.

Hillers Sports Update 9-26-2016

- Hopkinton Hillers Field Hockey (4-1-2) lost to Nipmuc 1-0

- Hillers Girls Soccer (1-3-3) tied a tough Millis (5-3-1) team 0-0.

- Hillers Boys Soccer (3-3-1) ties Millis (2-4-2) 1-1

The 8th grade field hockey team dominated at Natick yesterday with a 3-0 win. Excellent offensive pressure the entire game prevented Natick from taking a single shot on goal. Two goals from Alyssa Souza and another from Sarah Doyle were all assisted by Tate Frederick. Nice job for such a solid team effort -kudos Team!

October's Fatima Day at the Shrine in Holliston

On Thursday, October 13th, the Xaverian Missionaries will hold the traditional Fatima Day celebration in honor of Our Lady. It is going to be our sixth and last Fatima Day of 2016. This year’s theme is connected to the Extraordinary Jubilee of Mercy - Mary Mother of Mercy. The evening begins with a sing-along at 6:30 PM and Mass at 7:00 PM. At 8:00 PM, there will be a Rosary and Candlelight procession followed by refreshments served in the Shrine’s Hall. The main celebrant and homilist will be Most Rev. Edgar Cunha - Bishop of Fall River.

Celebrate the Jubilee of Mercy at Fatima Shrine

The Xaverian Missionaries at Fatima Shrine, 101 Summer Street in Holliston, invite you to Clebrate the Jubilee of Mercy in the spirit of the Beatitudes. Our next gathering will be Sunday, October 9th, beginning at 3:30 PM and concluding at 6:00 PM. The Ninth Presentation will be guided by the organization Home for the Troops – Massachusetts. The theme will be “Blessed are the Peacemakers, for they will be called Children of God”.

All are welcome. No charge and no reservations needed. Donations are welcomed!

High School Updates:

-HIllers Varsity Boys Soccer defeats Bellingham 6-0. Hillers improve to 2-3-0 on the season.

-Hillers Varsity Girls Soccer defeats Bellingham 6-1. Hillers earn their 1st win of the season and improves to 1-3-2.

-Dover-Sherborn defeats the Hillers on the golf course 211-215. Hillers golf is now 7-2 on the season.
