Video: Gateway Green Beautifies West Main Street

Gateway Green was a donor funded project to plant trees, flowers and plants on the West Main Street median by the 495 exits in Hopkinton. The project was a success and will bring more beautiful scenery to one of the gateways of the town. The Gateway Green Committee planned and helped execute the project, the Committee was made up of: Ken Driscoll, Fin Perry, Peter Mezitt, Jeff Barnes, Scott Richardson and John Westerling.

Video: 110 Grill is Open in Hopkinton!

The 110 Grill officially opened in the new addition to the 1 Lumber Street plaza. Hopkinton is the 4th New England location for the 110 Grill. Currently 110 Grill is located in Berlin, MA, Chelmsford, MA and Nashua, NH. In the first video, view the ribbon cutting ceremony as the 110 Grill was welcomed by the Chair of the Metrowest Chamber of Commerce, Sean Kimball and President of Weston Nurseries, Peter Mezitt on behalf of the Hopkinton Chamber of Commerce.In the 2nd video below, view the HCAM news segment highlighting the opening festivities.

On this edition of HCAM News, we’ll tell you about a scholarship a 2016 Hopkinton High School graduate received, the new Principal of Hopkins Elementary School has been chosen, Hillers softball has advanced in the playoffs and if you’re looking to create some artwork, we’ll tell you about a great, local, free program, but first, after Jennifer Flanagan beat out Dr. Phillip Cohen by just 9 votes for a seat on the Board of Health, a recount was done at town hall.

Video: Sharon Timlin Memorial 5K Race to Cure ALS 2016

This year the Sharon Timlin 5K had their biggest turnout yet. The race and family fun day is to help fight ALS or as some know as Lou Gerhrigs disease. The fund was set up in honor of Sharon Timlin, (Mother of former Red Sox pitcher Mike Timlin) who suffered from ALS. Proceeds from the race go to the Angel Fund, which is a fund to battle ALS. Free Pasta Dinner at St. Paul’s June 29

The June Community Pasta Supper at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 61 Wood Street (Rte. 135) will be held at 5:30 p.m. on June 29. All are welcome to this event, which is being supported by the churches of the Hopkinton Christian Service Connection. This pasta supper is held for the community on the last Wednesday of every month.

The meal will feature pasta (gluten free available), vegetarian tomato sauce, meatballs on the side, green salad, bread, beverages, and dessert.
The pasta supper is free, although donations will be accepted.
