Gypsy Moths & Winter Moths - What Can You Do?

Ken Gooch, Director of the Forest Health program for the Mass Department of Conservation & Recreation, will speak about the destructive gypsy moth and winter moth pests, their impact on forests, and steps to reduce the damage they cause. The program will be on April 17, 7:00 PM at the Upton VFW, 15 Milford Street, Upton.

The Xaverian Missionaries at Fatima Shrine (101 Summer Street, Holliston) invite you to celebrate the jubilee of mercy in the spirit of the Beatitudes. Our next gathering will be April 10th beginning at 3:30 PM and concluding at 6:00 PM. This fifth presentation will be guided by members of Catholic Charities of Boston, and the theme will be: "Blessed are they who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be satisfied."

All are welcome. No charge and no reservations needed.

Hopkinton Police Investigate a Deceased Body Found at Trash Recycling Facility

Hopkinton Police Department Detectives are actively investigating the discovery of a deceased human body at a local trash recycling facility.

This morning at 8:40am Hopkinton Police Dispatch received a call from E.L.Harvey and Sons reporting that workers had found a man's body inside the items brought to the Municipal Recycling Center, Building 6. This building is located in the area of 395 Wood St. Hopkinton. All workers at the facility have been accounted for and this is not a workplace incident.

Hopkinton resident Zhiqi Liu will lead an interactive session about the history and techniques of Chinese painting and calligraphy and the age-old game of Go, then you'll have an opportunity to try both for yourself! The event takes place on Tuesday, April 12, 7:00 PM at the Hopkinton Center for the Arts. Pre-registration is required for this event; call 508-497-9777 or email hbackman@hopkintonma.gov. Hopkinton Water & Sewer: Backflow Testing to be Completed

The Hopkinton Water & Sewer Division must comply with the State's Cross Connection Control program. The purpose of this program is to ensure the health and safety of the public drinking water supply for all water users. An essential part of this program is the testing of all Double Check Valve Assembly and Reduced Pressure Zone backflow prevention devices.
