Hillers Ready for Post Season Action

The Hiller Girls Varsity Tennis team are undefeated in the Tri-Valley League with 12 wins behind them. This week Coach Nancy Clark faced her two toughest opponents Cohasset and Wellesley, losing to both 3 sets to 2. "Both tough losses, but great competitive matches," said Clark, "and we need that experience as tournament approaches." Both games were non-league, so overall record is 14-2 and TVL record is 12--0.

Touch-A-Truck May 19

The 2013 Touch-A-Truck fundraiser to benefit the Hopkinton Public Library and sponsored by the Hopkinton Public Library Foundation will be on May 19 from 11:00 AM-2:00 PM in the Colella's parking lot. There will be service and construction vehicles, military cars, hotrods, train rides, and prizes. The first hour is horn free. Admission is $8.00 per child in advance, $10.00 at the event, and kids under 1 and adults are free. Tickets are available at the library or at hopkintonpubliclibraryfoundation.org. Donate $10.00 for a Power Wheels drawing. All proceeds benefit the library.

The 10th Annual Sharon Timlin Memorial 5K Road Race to Cure ALS will be held on Saturday, June 15, 2013 at Hopkinton High School. The 5K Online registration is open now! The 2013 race is limited to 1,800 participants and spaces fill up quickly.

There will be Member garden plants, tomatoes, herbs, select hardy perennials from a local wholesaler, colorful ceramic pots, plant markers and gardening gloves for sale. All proceeds support town beautification, education, and conservation programs. The heavy rain date is Sunday, May 19 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

B.A.A. Issues Special Invitation To 2013 Boston Marathon Starters Who Did Not Cross Boylston Street Finish Line

The B.A.A., organizer of the Boston Marathon, is issuing an invitation to participate in the 2014 Boston Marathon to official entrants in the 2013 Boston Marathon who were unable to cross the Boylston Street finish line. More than 5000 official starters were affected on Monday, April 15 at the 117th Boston Marathon when the race was stopped at 2:50 p.m. ET.
