Detour Coming to Main Street Construction

UPDATE - The Town, Police Department, Contractor and Engineer met at the site Monday afternoon regarding maintaining 2 lanes of traffic in Main Street during construction. After laying out the construction zone, the roadway is not quite wide enough in this area to maintain 2-lanes of traffic safely. As such, construction is being delayed to Monday June 10, 2013 to provide time for notification for a traffic detour in the eastbound lane.

New Charge for Youth Commission

At their May 21st 2013 meeting, the Board of Selectmen charged The Youth Commission “…with identifying the emerging and ongoing needs of Hopkinton’s youth and families. The Commission is responsible for creating community-wide opportunities that support long term well-being of all youth.”

Foxwoods to Present Plan to Milford Board of Selectmen on Monday Night

Casino-Free Milford, a grassroots movement of Milford citizens concerned about the proposed development of a destination resort casino in town, is encouraging all Milford residents to attend Monday night’s Board of Selectmen’s meeting to hear the details of Foxwoods’ plans for the casino project to be developed on 200 acres of land east of I-495. This meeting was originally scheduled to take place in Town Hall, but has been rescheduled for the auditorium of Milford High School at 7:00 PM.

Save The Date: 4th Annual Golf Tournament

The 4th Annual Hopkinton High Golf Tournament Committe has met and I would like to announce that you "SAVE THE DATE" for this years Hopkinton High School Fundraising Golf Tournament. The FLYER and Registration Form are enclosed with the date-place and time for this years event. It will be on Monday, August 19th at the Shining Rock Golf Club once again. It will be a Florida Style Scramble beginning at 1:00PM with a "Shot Gun" start. We are planning on filling this years tournament with 36 teams so please secure your foursome ASAP.

Hopkinton Education Foundation Golf Ball Drop on June 4

On Tuesday, June 4 (rain date June 6) at the Hopkins School athletic field, the Hopkinton Education Foundation will be dropping 1,000 golf balls from a hot air balloon (or construction lift, depending on the weathe">Cr) to see who wins $1,000! The ball closest to the hole wins $1,000, and the ball farthest from the hole wins $100. Join us from 5:30-7:30pm. In addition to the drop, we will have face painting, tethered balloon rides and concessions. We are also looking for strong volunteers who would like to assist in holding the balloon lines (please sign up here).
