Senior Upbeat

Now Online

1997 – 2009 (and counting...)

As we approach our twelfth year, our viewers have been on a journey together, watching ‘Senior Upbeat” on Monday and Wednesday evenings. Our program has exposed the inner-intimate side of our town by interviewing Hopkinton historians, artists, poets, some great chefs and we introduced other subjects and topics as well.

Along with the above, we have interviewed Art Gillam who told us all about our favorite antiques. We have toured “The State Park” and learned how it all began. We have also walked through the Wellesley College “Green House.” Who could forget the walk through the “Wildlife Sanctuary” in South Natick?

We listened to the thoughts, feelings and words from our three Poets, Agnes Pyne Frieh, Polly Brown and Cheryl Perreault.

We have learned to make the perfect flower arrangement with Dolores Ivester; decorative holiday greens with Kathy from “Evergreen Haven.” How to select and take care of our Christmas trees, we learned from Jeff at Angel’s Garden Center.

Our wonderful Technical crew consists of Jim Cozzens, Mike Torosian, Mary Arnaut and Beryl Sachs. It’s been a learning experience for all of us.

We have a great team of Segment producers; they are Mary Johnson, Judy Ryan, Simone Margolis and Sally Almy.

To learn more about who we are as a community, I suggest you watch “Senior Upbeat,” and you will find out why we are a great community and a wonderful place to live as well.

I want to thank all of our faithful followers who have watched Senior Upbeat from the beginning. Without your comments, we would not have been successful. We thank you! Enjoy ‘Senior Upbeat” which represents your community, friends and neighbors.
