 Programming
here at HCAM is produced by volunteer Access Producers and
studio staff, usually shot in the or the studio and edited, or
occasionally broadcast LIVE. Once aired, these shows are placed
into the studio archives. Over
the past 15 years, your community access station has not only
changed its look and name, but actually changed locations a few
times. As these tapes were moved around, they were tossed into
boxes and bins, stuck into dark attic storage spaces, and
forgotten.
When
Hopkinton Community Access & Media, Inc. took over the
operations of your television station, we recognized the value
inherent in these
programs from the past. One
of HCAM-TV’s objectives in our new studio space was to create
an archive of past shows. While sorting the tapes and creating a
new cataloging record, we thought it would be nice to give some
old shows another run. From The Vault dusts off these
tapes and breathes new life into what was thought to be lost.
We
hope you enjoy watching these programs and maybe see some
familiar faces. If you have any comments or suggestions of a
show you would like to see again, we want to hear from you.
