The Hopkinton Youth Soccer Association (HYSA) and the Hopkinton Varsity Girls' Soccer Team hosted a 3 v 3 soccer tournament on Monday, October 11 as part of the Open House and Ribbon Cutting at the new artificial turf fields at Fruit Street.
According to Coach Evren Gunduz, the goal of the event was to connect to the youth program sponsored by HYSA, and to get the younger kids tuned into what's happening in soccer at the high school level.
Due to the success of this year's event, Gunduz says he hopes to continue the tradition annually, making Columbus Day in Hopkinton all about soccer.
