Energy Choices: A New Show by Hopkinton Resident Peter Hubbe

By Stephanie Kane, News Producer

Hopkinton resident Peter Hubbe wants to make a difference. And with his new television show Energy Choices, he is getting that opportunity. Hubbe's show focuses on educating viewers on understanding the impact of specific energy choices that people make, and how energy can be utilized in a more sustainable way. He describes his bi-monthly show as being similar to This Old House... but with energy tips and tricks instead of home improvement ones.

Hubbe hopes that his show educates people on different options they have about energy consumption, and believes that even slight lifestyle changes can have a positive impact.

Hubbe says that in a perfect world he would like to have solar power in his home. But until then, he is making other decisions to minimize his own carbon footprint.

Even though Hubbe had some previous television production experience before producing Energy Choices, this is the most intricate project that he has been a part of. One his most memorable moments during production actually happened quite serendipitously while filming on the roof of a building. Watch the HCAM News video to learn more!

The first episode of Energy Choices, which takes a look at two Hopkinton companies, Solect Energy and Lumber Street Auto, is currently airing on HCAM-TV. Check the HCAM program schedule for specific air dates and times. It can also be found online HERE.
