Fall Update from Angel's Garden Center and Cafe

By Stephanie Kane, News Producer

In order to compliment his garden center as well as the Red Barn Cafe, Operations Manager for Angel's Garden Center, Jeff Doherty, decided last year to start bringing in food trucks to sell their food outside the center. This fall, Doherty recruited Jamaica Mi Hungry, a Boston-based food truck specializing in Jamaican cuisine.

Jamaica Mi Hungry is chef Ernie Campbell's catering and food delivery business. Recently, the company started a new venture by opening up a food truck. Campbell's signature is his jerk seasoning, which he honed in his native Jamaica as well as during his time working in restaurants in Boston's Seaport District. However, Campbell believes that what makes his business unique is the ability to customize the menu for customers' specific wants as well as the use of local, seasonal ingredients.

With having the food truck now, Jamaica Mi Hungry employee Christy Moulin says there are advantages to how they prepare food for clients.

Jamaica Mi Hungry will be at Angel's Garden Center throughout the fall on weekends. And so far, Doherty is happy with having the food truck's presence at the center.

Also currently at Angel's Garden Center, plenty of seasonal plants, which match the vibrant colors associated with the fall.
