Football Fundraiser Raises Over $1,000

By Stephanie Kane, News Producer

Under the Friday night lights on September 6, the Hillers won their scrimmage against North Middlesex Regional High School 33-31. However, the game was not just a tune-up for the team's first regular season game at Wayland High School on the 12th. It was also a fundraiser in honor of the memory of former Hopkinton High students Evan Girardi and Tommy Weaver. Over $1,000 was raised from community donations at the game to benefit both the Live4Evan and the Tommy Weaver B+ (Be Positive) foundations.

The Hillers first home game kicks off on September 20th at 7pm against Nipmuc Regional High School.
