The lucky winner of a 2011 share at Heirloom Harvest, a CSA located in Westborough, MA, is Beth Walton of Hopkinton. Walton's name was drawn from over 74 entries at the at the library on St. Patrick's Day. Present at the grand drawing were Friends of the Library President Susie Johnson and Treasurer Barbara Beale. Kim Boleros and Deb Kelly of Hopkinton were the winners of the two bottles of wine, donated by Colella's Supermarket, that were also raffled off.
"I'm so excited to finally draw our winner," said Johnson who was very pleased with participation in the event. "
From this single fundraiser, the Friends were able to raise approximately $1300. All proceeds from the raffle will go to support Hopkinton's library.
Johnson encourages more people to become involved and says that Friends go always use more help.
"The Friends are always looking for more friends," said Johnson. "We'd love to have a lot more friends to help us with our fundraising, or just to come to meetings and learn more about us."
