Throughout the week of September 8th, Golden Pond celebrated National Assisted Living Week, a week long event that recognizes the connections between residents, family and staff members and the efforts, small and large, of every individual in a community that turn a residence into home for countless assisted living residents.
This year's theme, which was recognized in assisted living facilities around the country, was Homemade Happiness. And as part of the week long celebration, residents had the opportunity to take part in special activities and events including a visit by jewelry vendor Periwinkle Metal Designs, a chance to play volleyball and a pizza party, complete with homemade pizza sauce.
