HCAM Intern Launches Kickstarter Campaign to Raise Funds for Documentary

By Stephanie Kane, News Producer

Hopkinton resident and current Rochester Institute of Technology student Nimish Ajmani and two of his college friends are planning on producing a documentary film about Humans vs. Zombies (or HvZ for short), a week-long game similar to tag that is popular across college campuses throughout the country.

Ajmani got involved with HvZ his freshman year and it immediately became a significant aspect of his college experience.

In order to fully capture the spirit of HvZ , Ajmani not only plans on showing the game itself, but also wants to emphasize the amount of time it takes people to prepare to play the game, as well as the overall impact it has on RIT campus life. However, to accomplish these goals, he and his team need approximately 2 terabytes of hard disk space in order to store all of the raw footage that they shoot for the project.

In order raise money, the group has launched a page on the creative project funding website kickstarter.com. The group has until April 7th to raise a minimum of $400. However, if the project does not reach the goal in time, it will not be funded. Any additional money the team raises will go directly into the documentary as well.
