HCAM Training Workshop: What's It All About?

By Stephanie Kane, News Producer

Although summer around Hopkinton may be slow, the HCAM studio is a busy place, hosting a weekly workshop for community members of all ages interested in learning about all of the aspects that go into the creation of a television show.

During the 5-week-long hands-on course, participants learn about producing, directing, the control room, editing, and camera operation.

The ultimate goal of the workshop is to train participants in all facets of television production so that they can both work on existing HCAM programming or even create their own show for the channel.

The next training session is scheduled to begin within the next month or two. Registration is ongoing on a first-come first-served basis at hcam.tv/workshop-sign.

Watch the HCAM News video below to hear what the participants thought about their experience at HCAM and think about signing up for our next class!
