Holiday Stories at the Library

By Stephanie Kane, News Producer

Every Tuesday and Wednesday morning, the children's room in the library is filled with children listening to Youth Services Librarian Denise Kofron read stories. The story time on December 20th was a special one though as Mrs. K. read the children in attendance holiday themed stories. Some of Mrs. K's favorites include the classic tales "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" and "The Polar Express".

After story time ended, there was another holiday themed activity for the kids that Mrs. K. planned. Using foam cutouts of popular holiday symbols such as reindeer and red bows, the kids decorated their own Christmas wreaths to hang up in their homes.

There will be no story time the week of the December 26th, which is school vacation week, but it will resume again in January. During the Thursday of school vacation week, Kofron is hoping to show a movie. And on January 4th, the library will welcome back a popular performer. Be sure to check the Hopkinton Planner on the front page of the HCAM website for all the details
