Hopkinton Public Library to Present All Things Jane Austen

By Stephanie Kane, News Producer

Her novels have captivated readers for over 200 years and have inspired various movie adaptations. Now as part of Women's History Month in March, Jane Austen's works will be celebrated in Hopkinton. On March 6th at 7pm, the library encourages adults and young adults, fans of Austen's work and Austen novices alike, to join in a discussion about her books and her life.

As part of the Austen discussion night, from now until the event, patrons are asked to vote for their favorite Austen novel by either emailing Adult Services Librarian Susan Marshall at smarshall@hopkinton.ma.gov, or by going to the library and filling out a form at the front desk. Results will be revealed that night.

And if one Austen celebration isn't enough for you, the library is also hosting an authentic Austen-era tea party on March 15th at 7pm. All of Austen's work, including many movie adaptations of her novels, are currently available at the library.
