Watch the HCAM News video with Republican and current Planning Board member Deb Thomas. Thomas took out nomination papers on February 8th to formally announce that she is running for a position on the Board of Selectman.
Thomas is running on two central issues currently facing the town; the revitalization of the downtown area and the replacement of Center School. Although these two issues have been divisive amongst those in the community, Thomas hopes that voters will stay informed and make educated decisions about them.
Ken Weismantel, Chairman of the Republican Town Committee, is expecting several residents, including a handful of incumbents, to announce their candidacy within the next few weeks. He is also still looking for candidates to run, particularly for the School Committee.
