Library Bell to Ring in Remembrance of 9-11

By Stephanie Kane, News Producer

In the back of the library lies a small room containing relics and treasures of Hopkinton history. Above it, lies a room containing a bell from when the library was a church. But on Sunday, the bell will signify more than just a part of Hopkinton's past. This Sunday marks the 10th anniversary of the terrorist attacks that happened on September 11, 2001. Each year, former library trustee Jack Palitsch rings the bell to remember, honor, and reflect upon those who perished on that day. The bell will be rung at the same times that the two planes crashed into the World Trade Center buildings.

Watch the HCAM News video as Adult Services Librarian Susan Marshall talks about the ringing of the library bell.
