As part of their summer activities program, the Hopkinton library sponsored an origami workshop on August 8th. Approximately 15 children participated in the program. The class was planned by children's services librarian Denise Kofron, who read the enthusiastic kids a story about the Japanese paper folding technique.
Then it was the kids' turn to make some of the paper art designs that Denise read about. Denise turned the class over to her good friend and library junior volunteer Nancy Richardson, who demonstrated and described to the kids how to make everything from boxes to birds.
