Pumpkin Decorating at the Hopkinton Public Library

By Stephanie Kane, News Producer

The Hopkinton Public Library hosted its first ever pumpkin decorating contest on October 11th for middle and high school students. The pumpkins were donated by the Friends of the Library and the teenagers also had access to a plethora of art supplies to let their imaginations run wild. From mummies, to witches, to spiders, and even a penguin, everyone who participated drew their inspiration for their pumpkin from a variety of different sources.

Contest winners will receive iTunes gift cards, which were donated by Webster First Credit Union. Branch Manager Kimberly Williamson was on hand to help out during the decorating process.

The pumpkins will be on display at the library until Halloween, at which time the winners will be announced. Community members are encouraged to stop by the library to check out the pumpkins and to vote for their favorite.
