A Retirement Breakast for Senior Outreach Supervisor Mary McLeod

By Michelle Murdock, Freelance Writer

After 20 years of service to the community, Senior Center Outreach Supervisor Mary McLeod is retiring. To celebrate her years of dedication and hard work, McLeod was recognized at a breakfast at the Senior Center on October 8th. Those who came to thank McLeod and wish her well on her new endeavors included Senior Center employees and volunteers, Senior Center patrons, and town officials.

Those who have worked with and have gotten to know McLeod over the years say that they have been touched by her warmth, personableness, and devotion to the community.

McLeod says that she is thankful for having worked in such a welcoming environment and that everyone she has met there has made a lasting impact on both her as well as the Senior Center itself.

A self described "people person", McLeod says that besides taking some time for herself by exercising and painting, she will still continue to produce and host Senior View, a monthly talk show on HCAM that focuses on senior related topics. And to the delight of those at the Senior Center, McLeod will still be there a few times a week as a volunteer.
