Superintendent MacLeod Seeks Input at Chamber of Commerce Event

By Michelle Murdock, Freelance Writer

Critical thinking, collaboration, communication and creativity, the four core competencies of 21st century learning, provided the starting point for an interactive discussion between Superintendent Dr. Cathy MacLeod and attendees at the "Meet and Greet" event hosted by the Hopkinton Chamber of Commerce on Tuesday, September 17, 2013.

After an introduction by Chamber Executive Director Tim Kilduff that set the stage for the issues that MacLeod had signed on for in the coming year, MacLeod talked about her background, her love of learning and the importance of the classroom teacher. But it was the question of what had changed most in the last 25 years that sparked an exchange of ideas and provided the basis for a very interesting discussion that lasted for the remainder of the meeting.
