ii. PARADE PERMITS (ACTION)
The Board of Selectmen will consider the following parade permits:

ACTION: The Board of Selectmen approved the Parade permit for Ilana Casady for Enter Stage Left 5K

iii. BOARD APPOINTMENTS (ACTION)
The Board of Selectmen will consider affirming the Town Manager’s appointment of Claire Wright as the town’s representative to the Metropolitan Area Planning Council (MAPC).
ACTION: The Board of Selectmen affirmed the Town Manager’s appointment of Claire Wright as the
Town’s representative to the Metropolitan Area Planning Council (MAPC). Approved (50).
ACTION: The Board of Selectmen issued proclamations to the following Eagle Scouts of Troop 1: Liam Busconi, Jack Dionne, Roderick Landreth; Troop 4 Connor Murchie, Michael McCabe and Daniel Palleiko; and to Girl Scout Gold Award recipients of Troop 73798 Julia Altman and Emma Dionne.
Approved (5-0).
POSTED PUBLIC HEARING: STREET ACCEPTANCE (ACTION)
6. The Board of Selectmen will hold a public hearing to consider accepting the following
streets recommended by the Planning Board as public ways:
Connelly Hill Road
Valleywood Road
Nancy Lane
Carol Ann Drive
Kerry Lane
ACTION: The Board of Selectmen recommend acceptance of the following streets as public ways at the Annual Town Meeting, as recommended by the Planning Board: Connelly Hill Road, Valleywood Road, Nancy Lane, Carol Anne Drive, Kerry Lane. Approved (50).
POSTED PUBLIC HEARING: DISCONTINUANCE OF PORTIONS OF FRANKLAND ROAD
7. AND PEACH STREET (ACTION)
The Board of Selectmen will hold a public hearing to consider the proposed discontinuance of Peach Street and portions of Frankland Road.
ACTION: The Board of Selectmen recommend the discontinuance of Peach Street and portions of Frankland Road as public ways at the Annual Town Meeting. Approved (50).
ACTION: The Board of Selectmen signed the 2016 Annual Town Meeting Warrant. Approved (50).
FIRE CHIEF (DISCUSSION/ACTION)
9. The Board of Selectmen will review the performance of Acting Chief Steve Slaman and consider his appointment as the Town’s fulltime
Fire Chief.
ACTION: The Board of Selectmen appointed Steve Slaman as the Town’s fulltime Fire Chief. Approved (50).
ADOPTION OF VERIZON RENEWAL LICENSE RFP (ACTION)
10. The Board of Selectmen, as the Town’s Cable Licensing Authority, will consider authorizing Town Manager to issue RFP to exercise the Town’s rights to require Verizon a written proposal.
ACTION : Continued to next meeting.
HOPKINTON WINE AND SPIRITS: REPORTED ADMINISTRATIVE VIOLATION (ACTION)
11. The Board of Selectmen will review incident report filed by Hopkinton Police Department alleging an administrative violation at Hopkinton Wine and Spirits, namely, selling alcohol to an intoxicated person.
ACTION : The Board of Selectmen voted to schedule a public hearing at the next Board of Selectmen
Meeting on April 26, 2016. Approved (50).
TOWN MANAGER’S REPORT
13. Woodville Rod and Gun Club request to hold Fishing Derby at Pratt Farm Pond: Board of Selectmen will consider a request by Woodville Rod and Gun Club to hold a fishing derby at the Pratt Farm Pond on May 7, 2016. The club has agreed to the Park and Recreation Commission condition that a sign be placed in front of the Woodville Rod & Gun Club announcing the event and that it is open to the public.
ACTION: The Board of Selectmen authorized the Woodville Rod and Gun Club to hold a fish derby at
the Pratt Farm Pond on May 7, 2016 providing the necessary certificate of liability forms are in place.
