Video: Flag For Hope Lands in Hopkinton

By Tom Nappi, News Director

Flag For Hope is described as a "social movement of people all across America to come together and recognize our shared humanity and to unite in harmony. It's a message of peace and hope for our future as one people and our connection to the rest of the global community, it's a way of viewing our place in this great country and in the world, a view that celebrates our commonality and puts aside differences that seperate us."

About 5,000 people throughout the country will leave their mark on the canvas and be a part of designing the flag for hope. Artist Marcos Antonio plans to donate the global canvas to a museum as his gift for future generations. He is also creating a video and photo database of each participant.

Flag for Hope recently stopped at the Center School in Hopkinton in which a number of police and firemen left their impression, Rick and Dick Hoyt were also in attendance to leave their mark and U.S. Marine Bob Lavoie left his print on the flag for hope.
