Video Highlights: Hopkinton Architectural Tour

By Stephanie Kane, News Producer

As a way to raise money for Hopkinton's 300th anniversary in 2015, residents were invited to take an architectural tour of the downtown area on August 17th and 18th. The hour-long tour, which was sponsored by the Historic District Commission and the Friends of Hopkinton Anniversary Celebrations, was led by Hopkinton native Jennifer Doherty, who recently completed her masters in preservation studies from Boston University.

The first stop on the tour was the common to look at some of the houses that surround it. Then the tour moved on down to Hayden Rowe Street. The tour then turned onto Pleasant Street and then onto Grove Street. Once back onto Main Street, the tour concluded with a brief history of the 1906 Hopkinton Supply Company Building.
