Video: Hillers Sports Playoff Highlights

-On Thursday March 3rd the 3rd seeded 17 and 3 Hopkinton Hillers took on 14th seeded 11-8 and 2 Bourne in the 1st round of the playoffs at the Gallo Arena in Bourne and one Hiller hit a landmark during the Hillers offensive fireworks. The Hillers got the 4-0 shutout over Bourne, Will Abbott had a pair of Goals and Cam Finlayson had a goal and 2 assists and the senior also scored his 100th high school career point in the victory.

-In the Quarter-Finals on Saturday March 5th, more action at the Cape, this time against 12-8 and 1 11th seeded Cohasset. The Hillers skated away with the 4-1 victory as 4 different players score goals for the Hillers. Hopkinton advances to the semi finals to take on 2nd seeded 19 and 3 Norwell Thursday March 10th in Bourne at 8pm.

-4th seeded 14 and 6 Hillers Girls Basketball battled fellow TVL Rival #5th seeded 13 and 7 Ashland in the quarter finals of the Central Division 2 playoff bracket. Things did not start off well for the Hillers as 3 different Clockers connected for a pair of field goals to help outscore Hopkinton 16-9 in the first.

2nd quarter, Julia Canestrari heated up and hit for 3 field goals including 2 3's to help the Hillers outscore Ashland 11-9. Ashland leading 25-20 coming out of the half but the Hillers get the 13-10 edge in the 3rd quarter to cut the lead down to 2 heading into the final 8 minutes.

In the 4th quarter, Ashland Senior Sam Leone joined the 1000 point club with a 3 pointer. Quite a huge accomplishment to score 1000 points in your high school career. she was congratulated by fellow teammates as well as the Hillers for the tremendous accomplishment. Hillers Freshman Lilly Morningstar was a star, she hit for 8 points in the quarter to help the Hillers outscore Ashland 21-12 and take the game 54-47.

Morningstar finished with 10 while Julia Canestrari had a team leading 17 and Mikayla Pucci had 13 points as the Hillers advanced to the semi-finals where they will meet up with undefeated 20 and 0 Notre Dame Academy at Clark University Wednesday at 7pm March 9th.

-The 10 and 10, 7th seeded Hillers boys battled 2nd seeded 17 and 3 Medfield in the quarterfinals Medfield ended the magical season for the young Hillers taking them down 74-49.. Medfield would lose to Marlboro in the semi-finals round 59-58. Congratulations to coach Keane and the Hillers boys on a great turnaround.
