Video: Hopkinton Country Club Goes Hollywood to Raise Money for Charity

By Tom Nappi, News Director

The Hopkinton Country Club charitable organization hosted their annual fundraising gala which helps support at risk youth and families. It was a Hollywood theme and featured a photo booth in addition to dinner and dancing. Guests arrived coming down a red carpet followed by a mock Oscars type interview.

Executive Director of the Hopkinton Country Club Charitable Organization Kelly Nowlin mentioned that the goal of the event was to raise $100,000. Two of the main organizations that the event raised funds for were "Mass Mentoring" and the "Mazie Mentoring Program". Mass Mentoring helps promote programs to strengthen adult-child relationships and the John Mazie program helps raise funds to help high school students "who face tremendous adversity on their path to success."
