Golden Pond Assisted Living brought back a familiar face as their new Executive Director. Lisa Jacobs previously served as the Wellness Director as Golden Pond was first opening in 1995. "I was one of the original nurses that actually opened up Golden Pond and I developed the Geri-psych program back in 1997." Jacobs left Golden Pond in the late 90's and opened up brain injury programs across the state. "I then found my way into all types of clinical operations running nursing homes, assisted living communities."
"This year I decided that I really wanted to return to my roots and my passion which is assisted living and I reached out to the owners and just said, if there is an opportunity I would love to come back and see what we can do to enhance all the wonderful things happening here at Golden Pond." Jacobs mentioned that she loves the versatility of care Golden Pond has available; "it has all levels of care, independent living, assisted living and 2 levels of special care programming."
"It feels like i'm coming home after a 17 year sabbatical and to walk into such a dedicated group of professionals, it's amazing to me that some of my people that I originally hired 20 years ago are still here, some of the residents that I first admitted are still here and I think that speaks volumes about the culture and community that's offered at Golden Pond."
