Video Segment: Dr. Anne Mattina talks History of Mill Workers in Hopkinton

Hopkinton has a long history of industry. The Hopkinton economy previously thrived off the boot and shoe industry, Hopkinton was also once a center for Cotton cloth-making. Hopkinton has a long history of factories and production lines and as part of the Hopkinton 300th anniversary celebration, Stonehill College professor and researcher Dr. Anne Mattina talked at the Hopkinton Historial Society about Mill workers at the turn of the century. Dr. Mattina told HCAM news that she has researched a number of towns in Massachusetts and that her research is always ongoing.
