Video Segment: Live4Evan 5K 2014 was another success

The Live4Evan 5K was created to benefit the Live4Evan foundation which provides support for patients and families suffering from heart disease. Live4Evan was created to commemorate the life of Evan Nicholas Girardi, who passed away unexpectedly in 2010 from heart arrhythmia at the age of 20.

The event raised $50,000 and a fun time was had by all as they honored the life of Evan Nicholas Girardi and helped raise funds for the fight against heart disease. The event featured a 5K,various food and drink stands,live music, bouncy house as well as other fun games and activities for Children and much more.

HCAM News caught up with the father of Evan, Michael Girardi at the event. Michael talked about the cause of the event; "It's about raising money and friends getting together at places we know, love and enjoy such as the High School." Michael also talked about how the event has grown "We had a great day, we had more people from outside of Hopkinton this year, it is amazing how word has got around about this event."

All proceeds raised fund the Evan Girardi Memorial Scholarship, Boston Cardiac Foundation’s missions to better the lives of heart patients in disadvantaged areas, the Boston Children’s Hospital Cardiac Center, and Live4Evan’s patient family housing facility fund."
