By Tom Nappi, News Director

Greg Mazur an entrepeneur who owns 30 through 34 Main street in downtown Hopkinton applied for a permit to change parking capacity regulations so his tenant's food shops Vinny's Pizza and the soon to be open Yogurt Beach can have 18 seats each. Mazur mentioned that in accordance with the building department's desires Vinny's put in a physically disabled friendly back entrance, bathrooms and an ADA parking space. The majority of the planning board was in agreement that to increase downtown business, more parking has to be made available and that the current parking regulations are outdated. Be on the lookout for seats coming to Vinny's Pizza soon.

Also during the meeting, the Planning Board gave developer Paul Mastroianni the go ahead to move forward with expanded business and housing development on Lumber Street. Golden Spoon restaurant is expected to be a tenant of the Lumber Street development.
