Video Segment: Troop 4 Scouts receive Eagle Scout Proclamations

The highest honor to receive in the Boy Scouts is attaining the rank of Eagle Scout. To achieve Eagle Scout part of the requirement is to exemplify leadership and service to the community. Max Vumbaca, William Warner, John McCabe and Michael Protas of Troop 4 did just that. John McCabe and Michael Protas received the proclamations from the Board of Selectmen and talked about their Eagle Scout Projects.

John McCabe for his Eagle Scout Project raised money to renovate the garden at St. Matthews Church in Southborough. Including new granite steps with railings and put plants around the area. McCabe and fellow scouts had to do fundraising for the materials including the granite steps and they also received help from a few local area business's for the project including; plant trees and shrubs, Charles Baker and Swanson Granite.

Michael Protas played a series of free concerts for community centers. When asked what skills the project would give future help, Protas responded organization and leadership skills were utilized for the project.
