Win a Share in Heirloom Harvest Farm

By Stephanie Kane, News Producer

Have you ever wanted to own a share of a farm and receive a selection of some the freshest produce? Now you can, thanks in part to the Friends of the Hopkinton Public Library, who will be raffling off a share of Heirloom Harvest Farms in Westborough. Heirloom Harvest is a Community Supported Agriculture Farm, or CSA for short, with over 17 acres of farmland. A CSA-style farm allows shareholders to take part in the farming process, and each week they will receive an assortment of all the produce that is harvested. The share is worth over $600.

Farmer John Mitchell encourages parents, especially those with picky eaters, to take advantage of the farm's fresh tasting produce, and believes that even the pickiest eater will start to enjoy eating fruits and vegetables.

This is the second year that Heirloom Harvest has donated a share to Friends of the Libary to raffle off. They are hoping to top last year's total of $1,500 dollars raised. All the money raised supports the library.

The raffle drawing for the farm share is on the April 11, and there's still time to get your ticket. Tickets are currently being sold at the library and are $20 each or 3 for $50 dollars. For more information, visit the
