Ann Elizabeth DeLuise (Terry) passed away peacefully on 21 April 2026 at the age of 91 at her residence, Heritage of Framingham, Massachusetts. The eldest of four children, Ann grew up on the Terry Farm in Hopkinton at 98 Hayden Rowe Street, the current site of the Hopkinton Center for the Arts. She was the beloved daughter of Anastasia Veronica Terry (Pyne) and Thomas James Terry, who preceded her in death.
Ann was a member of the 100th graduating class of Framingham High School, graduating in 1952. She was also a proud graduate of Wellesley College, class of 1956. Upon graduation she spent three years in Hartford, Connecticut working as an underwriter for Connecticut General Life Insurance Company. In 1960, she moved to New York City, where she spent the next 60 years, living an interesting and fulfilling life in East Manhattan, at Peter Cooper Village. She worked for the United Nations as an administrator for 32 years and had many friends from all over the world. She met the love of her life, Nicholas DeLuise, a Lieutenant for the New York City Police Department, 106th Precinct and they made many happy memories in New York City, East Quogue, Long Island and Falmouth, Massachusetts for 36 years, until his death in January of 2008. In November 2020, Ann moved back to Hopkinton where she lived at Fairview Estates until August 2025 when she relocated to Heritage in Framingham.
Ann was a generous and kind daughter, sister, aunt, and friend who had a great thirst for knowledge, which she loved to share with others. She found joy spending time with friends, as well as with her “darling Nicky,” whether it was travelling with him to Spain, Portugal, Naples and Rome or cooking lobster dinners at their summer home in Falmouth.
Ann is survived by her sister Carol, brother William and sister-in-law Mary, brother Thomas Jr. and sister-in-law Elaine. She also leaves behind nephews and nieces, whose lives she was always interested to hear about: Brendan (Tina), Luke (Jennifer), Thomas III, Kristin (Caldwell), William Jr. (Esther), Tim (Laura), Daniel (Kirsten), Michael (Karen) and JoAnne (John) as well as many great nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ann’s name to Friends of Hopkinton, P.O. Box 9, Woodville, MA 01784.
Ann’s family wishes to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Maryann Morse Healthcare for the compassionate care they provided to Ann during her time there and in her final days.
