Baypath launches $6.5 million “Building Baypath’s Future” campaign

Baypath Humane Society of Hopkinton, Inc., launched “Building Baypath’s Future,” the largest fundraising campaign in the Massachusetts’ shelter’s nearly 50-year history, to construct a modern facility that will address the increased need for rehoming, adoption, care, and animal welfare education services in the area. The campaign has already raised $4 million toward a $6.5 million goal.

The annual Hopkinton Polyarts festival took place at the Hopkinton Town Common and featured some great local businesses as always. The Polyarts event started in 1974 and to this day continues to bring great artists of all types, local organizations and residents to the Hopkinton Town Common for some fun festivities. Rev. Mary Rosendale Named Vicar at St. Paul’s

St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Hopkinton is pleased to announce that Reverend Mary Rosendale has been named Vicar at St. Paul’s. Since September 1, 2021, Rev. Rosendale has served as Priest-in-Charge for both St. Paul’s and St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church in Westboro. The two churches will continue their unique collaboration to share a priest, but Rev. Rosendale will now be the Rector at St. Stephen’s and Vicar at St. Paul’s. Rev. Rosendale was Interim Priest at St. Stephen’s prior to becoming Priest-in-Charge.

HCA: A Play, A Pint & A Pie Festival

Get ready to experience the most entertaining one-act play festival of the year! Drawing on the great tradition of Glasgow, Scotland theater, HCA is thrilled to host Enter Stage Left Theater's fourth annual A Play, A Pint & A Pie festival on Saturday, August 24 & Sunday August 25th, in our outdoor amphitheater.

With SIX original 15 to 25-minute plays selected from 115 submissions across the globe, this festival promises to be a night of laughter and tears. Recommended for ages 12 and up.

Hopkinton Garden Club Announces 2024 Scholarship Winners

Hopkinton Garden Club is pleased to announce that James Kayan and Lucas Coffman have been selected as recipients of 2024 Hopkinton Garden Club Scholarships. James and Lucas were each awarded a $1500 scholarship at the Hopkinton High School Awards Ceremony in June.

In the fall, James will be attending the University of Maine to pursue a degree in Forestry, while Lucas will be attending the University of Miami to pursue a degree in Marine Science and Biology.

Bellingham Fire Department Hiring Two Full-Time Firefighter/Paramedics

BELLINGHAM — Chief William Miller is pleased to announce that the Bellingham Fire Department is currently seeking two qualified candidates for the full-time position of Firefighter/Paramedic.

The salary range for these positions are about $78,000 to $108,000. Preference is given to lateral transfer and pro board FF I/II certified applicants.

Comments sought on plan for Hopkinton group electricity buying program

The Town of Hopkinton is developing a consumer-friendly electricity program called Hopkinton Power Choice. The program is an electricity aggregation, which is a group electricity purchasing program for Hopkinton residents and businesses. Through Hopkinton Power Choice, the Town will use its collective buying power to give residents and businesses greater control over the cost and environmental impact of their electricity supply. Eversource will continue to deliver electricity to Hopkinton without interruption and handle billing.
