Gallery Hours: Monday–Friday, 9am–6pm, Saturday, 10am–2pm

The Hopkinton Center for the Arts (HCA) will host the 18th annual Arts in Bloom gallery exhibition. This is a competitive juried art show that is a favorite for artists all over New England and beyond.

Our 2023 Juror will be Kaveh Mojtabai, Editor in Chief of Artscope
magazine. Now in its 15th year, Artscope covers artists, galleries and museums, encouraging its readers to understand the work exhibited and to actively participate in the region’s arts community.

The theme for 2023 Arts in Bloom is "Thrive". Mojtabai noted, "We are constantly in transactions with beauty; experiment with techniques, colors, design, and subject matter; let's thrive in every language and interpretation of Art in Bloom." Artists were encouraged to think beyond depicting florals in their pieces.

Last year's exhibition saw over 150 pieces submitted for jurying and 40 pieces were selected for the show. Six pieces will be identified for an award and honored with fresh garden arrangements designed by the Hopkinton Garden Club members. The garden club artists look forward to interpreting the winning pieces with complementary arrangements that employs the use of flowers, plants and other natural materials.

The exhibition will be available to view April 24-June 1st. There will be a free public reception to meet the artists on Friday May 12th at 6 p.m.

Entry to view the exhibition is always free. The HCA is pleased to offer private and group docent tours upon request. For more details, call 508-435-9222 or visit our website at www.hopartscenter.org
