Elmwood School Public Forum II - Tuesday, October 11th, 2022

By Matt Clark, Master Control Operator
Elmwood Elementary School

Our community has been invited into the MSBA (Massachusetts School Building Authority) process to explore the Elmwood School. The scope of study includes examining potential repairs, renovation, and new construction on the existing or alternative sites for a sustainably designed Grade 2-3 or Grades 2-3-4 school. An expanded study, run in conjunction with this study, will explore the system-wide impact at all our schools.
What to Expect: The Town, in partnership with the MSBA and project team, will gather information, listen, learn, establish goals, and develop options throughout the fall. In December the options will be refined and assessed. Faculty and community forums will occur throughout the
process. The grade configuration decision is expected to occur over the course of several School Committee Meetings in January, and the final solution selected by the School Building Committee in February 2023.
In this in-person public forum, the committee will give an overview of the findings from the previous public forum, as well as the existing conditions.
Tune in on Tuesday, October 11th at 7:00 PM on HCAM-ED or on our YouTube channel.
