Hopkinton Hillers soccer sensation Madison Recupero will be attending and playing soccer at Princeton University next fall. Madison commonly referred to as “Maddie” Recupero was named with the prestigious honor of the “Gatorade Player of the Year“.
This past season the Senior midfielder scored 28 goals and had 15 assists and for her 2nd time was named the TVL MVP. Maddie also obtained a 4.62 GPA and has received recognition for her accomplishments as a pianist and her volunteer work for organizations such as Project Just Because.
Maddie Recupero was 1 of just 10 Massachusetts athletes to receive the Gatorade Player of the year prestigious honor. Dedham High Head Coach Don Savi is quoted on Maddie’s Gatorade player of the year profile; “Maddie Recupero was one of the best players we’ve faced in years. Her speed, especially with the ball at her feet, was impossible to contain. Maddie had a great shot with either foot, but what made her special was her passing ability. The old saying that she makes the players on her team better was 100 percent true with Maddie.”
Congratulations to Maddie on receiving the very-well deserved yet prestigious honor! View more at Maddie Recupero’s Gatorade Player of the Year profile!
