Hopkinton Hillers Sports Update May 15th 2025

Girls Track & Field (Contributed): (Tuesday 5/13) Hopkinton girls track & field team beat Dedham, 92-44 on Tuesday afternoon at home. The win capped off an undefeated dual meet season and extended the Hilers dual meet winning streak that started in 2001. Senior Josie Hopkins won three events–100m hurdles, long jump, and 200m. Seniors Savannah Rivera (javelin), Bridgid Cavanaugh (800m), and Elyse Srodawa (mile) each won their events in Hopkinton’s final dual meet of the season and their final home meet. Freshman Clara Bransfield won the 400m hurdles, placed third in long jump, and ran the lead-off leg of the winning 4x100m with sophomores Addie Morrissey, Kaelyn Geremia, and Callie Owens. Sophomore Bella Walkiewicz won the high jump and took second in 400m hurdles. Freshman Jane Hopkins won the triple jump and tied for second in the high jump. Junior Emma Prisco won the 400m and sophomore Wafiya Syeda won the 2 mile. Hopkinton competes Friday at the MSTCA D2 State Relays then Tuesday at the Tri Valley League Showcase to start off the championship portion of the season.

Boys Track & Field: (Tuesday 5/13) Hillers defeat Dedham 87 to 49. Hopkinton clinches the TVL Large title and finishes their regular season meetings with a perfect 5 and 0 record, Dedham finishes 4 and 1. For the Hillers; Harry Millar won the 100 Meters with a time of 11.18, Ian Weilding won the 200 meters with a time of 22.80, Iago Ferreira won the 400 meters with a time of 51.70, Myles Heavey won the 800 meters with a time of 2:07.90, Sean Finnegan captured 1st in the 1-mile with a time of 4:32.74, Lean Augusto Burg won the 110m hurdles with a time of 15.98, Lean Augusto Burg also captured 1st in the 400m Hurdles with a time of 1:00.32, the Hopkinton team of Jacob Logan, Neil Rhodes, Daniel Jun & Joshua Tomasino-Steuer won the 4×100 relay with a time of 45.44, Owen Tomasino-Steuer won the Javelin with the top throw of 38.38m, Logan Sullivan took 1st in the high jump with 1.83m, Mason Barros captured 1st in the long jump with 5.91m.

Boys Volleyball: (Weds 5/14) Hopkinton fell to Nipmuc 3-0, The Hillers competed hard and kept all 3 matches close versus the #7 ranked Nipmuc Warriors (Match Scores: 18-25, 17-25, 17-25).

Baseball: (Weds 5/14) Hopkinton fell 4-2 in a road game vs Westwood. Dylan Ruff pitched 4 innings giving up 6 hits and 3 earned runs. Hopkinton is now 10-7 on the season, Westwood improves to 11 and 4.

Softball: (Weds 5/14) Hopkinton defeated Westwood in a 9-inning extra innings game 4 to 2. Zoe Le Vine & Addy Walls both went 2 for 5 at the plate, Addy Walls pitched all 9 innings giving up 7 hits and 2 runs. Hopkinton improves to 14 and 3, Westwood falls to 9 and 4.

Boys Tennis: (Weds 5/14) Hopkinton defeats Westwood 5 to 0, Hopkinton improves to 15 and 0 on the season, Westwood falls to 9 and 5.

Girls Tennis: (Weds 5/14) Hopkinton falls on the road 4-1 vs Westwood. Hopkinton falls to 12 and 4, Westwood improves to 10 and 3.

Girls Golf: (Weds 5/14) Hopkinton wins 5th straight match defeating Auburn 24.5-23.5, Hopkinton is now 11 and 3 on the season.

Boys Lacrosse: (Weds 5/14) Hopkinton defeats Ashland on the road 11 to 4. Hopkinton improves to 8 and 6 on the season.

Girls Lacrosse: (Weds 5/14) Ashland defeats Hopkinton in Ashland 11 to 9, Hopkinton falls to 10 and 4 on the season.
